A dream come true: two brothers competing at the World Championships together!

Lachlan (16 years old) and Jack (14 years old) won gold in their respective divisions at the Australian Taekwondo selection event. They will represent Australia at the World Taekwondo Junior Championships in October in South Korea.

They are part of Australia’s top 10 male and 10 female Taekwondo Junior Athletes (15-17yrs), comprising the Australian Team.

Lachlan and Jack began Taekwondo at the age of 4 and train at Martial Arts Spirit in Prestons, NSW. Their rigorous training schedule includes six days a week of early morning intensive sessions before school, after-school training, strength and conditioning sessions, and weekly personal training to maintain their skill and fitness levels.

Lachlan highlights include titles as a National Champion, 2022 Tahiti Open Champion, 2023 Bosnia Open Silver medallist, and 2023 Australia Open Silver medallist.

Jack is a four-time National Champion, 2022 Presidents Cup Oceania Champion, 2022 Oceania Champion, 2022 Tahiti Open Champion and 2023 Bosnia Open Bronze medallist.

Both brothers share the ultimate goal of representing Australia at the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.

Elite athletes often rely on the support of their families and communities to fund their dreams, including expensive domestic and international travel for training and competitions.

Australian Taekwondo has informed us that funding is not available for this competition, and we have been encouraged to seek community support.

We understand that times are tough, any tax-deductible donation you can make would be greatly appreciated.

Head to Lachlan and Jack's Instagram pages to check out highlights of their fights.

Thank you for your support! 🙏🥋
