One of the rising stars of Australian golf, Jeffrey Guan has permanently lost vision in his left eye after being struck by a golf ball in an on-course accident in September 2024.

The mishap, which led to multiple surgeries and an extended hospital stay, came just a week after he had achieved a major ambition, making his PGA Tour debut as a 20-year-old.

As determined as ever, Jeffrey, who had been a professional golfer for just 12 months, is not letting the massive setback stop him from achieving his dreams.

Our goal is to provide a young man, who had just started his career, with the significant financial support, and peace of mind, he needs to help him on his journey back to playing golf at the elite level.

A message from Jeffrey

As a kid, I have always had a lot of perseverance and persistence.

During my nights in hospital, I almost drowned in thoughts about the injury I had sustained and my future in the sport of golf which has become my career.

As you can imagine, this whole situation not only came at a tremendous cost but has also significantly affected me and my family emotionally and mentally.

The thought that all my years of hard work and training, plus my family's sacrifice, had just been thrown out the window.

The frustration is unbearable. Why did this happen?

How in the world am I supposed to recover, return, and be the same player I was, or even better?

I had no idea. I was devastated and felt so lost.

Fortunately, I have been lucky enough to have a huge support group around me, and I can't thank all of them enough for the support I have received.

This has been the toughest period of my life, but I am stronger mentally and will be ready to conquer any obstacle in the future.

I will continue to work hard and do my best to achieve my dream.

I will be back.

Much love, always, Jeff.
