I started skiing when I was a small child and competed at the State and Regional level. I've always been an athlete and sport has been important to me. But, in my 20's I started my career and didn't have access to a ski club, so I didn't ski for about 10 years. Without sport, I felt a little bit lost.

In 2019, I was lucky enough to come across the Barron River Water Ski Club and SkiNorth Babinda, and I once again caught the skiing bug. I have been lucky to meet everyone in the Australian waterski family and become part of a new community. I also have had an absolute ball skiing- and setting new goals and challenges for myself.

In 2022, a fellow skier told me about the +35 World championships. I set myself the goal to improve my scores in the hopes that I would be selected for the Australian team in 2024. I am currently 39 years old, and I am skiing the best I have ever skied in my life! I am very driven to keep improving and to hold off this 'getting old' thing!

In April, I found I qualified for the +35 IWWF Waterski Championships in Sesena, Spain at Botaski (4-8 September 2024). I am excited to be a part of the Australian team and wear the green and gold! I will be competing in the 035 women's trick skiing event, and although it is a lofty goal- getting on the podium would be the dream!

I am focussed and ready to train hard for the next 4 months! But, chasing this goal comes with a significant price tag. I would be grateful for any support.
