My name is Kayla Robson, I am 15 years old and I absolutely love cricket! I am proud to say that I have been selected to represent Australia at the World Indoor Cricket Federation Junior World Series to be held in Dubai, UAE in September/October 2023.

I am excited to be representing Australia for the first time and I hope this is just the start to my international career.

I have been playing outdoor cricket for the last 4 years, though this was my first Indoor Cricket tournament. After years of watching my older brother play cricket, I thought I would give it a go and it has been one of the best sporting decisions I have made. I have been playing for my local community club Winston Hills Cricket Club, represented Parramatta District Cricket Club in the U15 Margaret Peden team (NSW Youth Championships) and this year also debut for Sydney Premier league UTS North Sydney Cricket Club.

Indoor cricket was recommended to keep refining my skills for outdoor and I worked hard to be selected in the NSW Under 22 and the Under 16 teams to represent at the 2023 Indoor National Championships. The tournament was a great experience and the Under 22's competition helped me to understand the game further prior to my own age tournament. The tournament was next level, and I loved the competitiveness as well as travelling and playing with my teammates. We came home with Silver in both age groups.

I will now play for Australia (still can't believe it) at the World Series in Dubai and I need to fundraise as its all self-funded. The funds will help with tournament entry costs, domestic and international flights, accommodation and uniforms.

I live in NSW and there will be additional travel to trainings which will also add up. I also enjoy playing hockey for my region, North West Hockey Association, and my two clubs Ryde Hunter's Hill District Hockey Club and West Rugby Hockey clubs. My parents support me and my two siblings to allow us to follow our dreams. My brother is currently representing in NSW U18 Hockey Team and my younger sister is representing our Region at U13 State Championships.

Please help me to play in my first International tournament and get to Dubai to play Indoor Cricket for Australia.
