A bit about me:

Hi my name is Kierah Ly-Diep.

I started doing taekwondo when I was 6 years old. Taekwondo is my passion. I love the sport so much and it brings me lots of joy.

Since I was 9 years old, my long-term goal has been to compete at the Olympics. I compete in competitions around Australia and in December last year I travelled to Bendigo, Victoria for Nationals, where I won gold.

Earlier this year I attended the selections for the Australian Taekwondo Performance Pathway Program. After two days of doing different physical tests, drills and sparring sessions, I was fortunate to have been selected as a member of the ACT program.

On Friday 7^th July, I travelled to Brisbane and competed for a position on the Australian National Team to represent Australia at the World Taekwondo Cadet Championships in Bosnia and Herzegovina next month. I won my division and now here I am after around 7 years of Taekwondo, I’m on the Australian National Team!! I am one step closer to achieving my long term dream and will represent Australia at the World Taekwondo Cadet Championships.

Taekwondo is something that I have so much fun doing and it is a sport that means everything to me. Making it to this point is an honour and my biggest achievement so far. I am determined, focused and excited to train hard so I can do my best to represent Australia.
