Hi, my name is Lacey Hema and I am a Junior Elite Diver. I am so excited to have the opportunity to compete at the Junior World High Diving Championships in Brazil in October this year. As High Diving is not yet a funded sport, I kindly ask for your support to help me follow my dreams and to be apart of this amazing opportunity.

Launching into the world of High Diving at the age of fifteen, my journey began in Gymnastics at just the age of four. Competing at a national level in Gymnastics, Trampoline and Tumbling gaining a 1st and 2nd place by the age of ten, I soon found myself accepted into the National Talent Pathway squad for diving with Olympic coach Xiangning Chen. Since then, I have made a name as a Junior Elite Diver with the Queensland Academy of Sport.

This is where my High Diving spark began, being recognised by FINA High Diving committee member and former Redbull Cliff Diving Champion, Joey Zuber. Adding to my passion for adrenalin sports which includes, surfing, motorbike riding and sky diving, High Diving became the perfect fit for me. With my coaches, former Olympians Vyninka Arlow and Jeff Arbon, and former Redbull Cliff Diving champion, Steve Black, I have the foundation, support and drive to achieve greatness in my High Diving career.

My commitment sees me traveling from the Gold Coast to Brisbane twice a day, six days a week for training. My ultimate goal is to join the Redbull Cliff Diving World series following in the footsteps of fellow Australians, seven-time world champion Rhiannon Iffland and training partner, mentor and Redbull Cliff diving star Xanthia Penissi.

With your support, I hope to be able to attend a training camp in Fort Lauderdale, America, before pursuing a podium finish at the Junior World Championships this October in Brazil.
