Lawson is a promising young taekwondo athlete based in Brisbane. In 2022, at just 12 yrs old, he secured a place on the National team and got to represent Australia in the Netherlands.
Continued hard work, determination and passion for his sport has seen Lawson qualify for the World Cadet Championships in Bosnia. Whilst there he will also compete in the Bosnian Open.
Lawson is highly motivated training 6 days a week. Running 7km before school he also is part of the prestigious Athlete Development Program at his school. Lawson is a 3x National Champion and 4x State Champion. His dream is to represent his country at the Olympics one day.
Australian Taekwondo is providing no funding for athletes on this tour. It is over $6000 for Lawson and another $4000 for a parent to go with him. All donations are tax deductible.
