Racing at Junior Worlds in Colombia last year was amazing! I came away with 4th in the 500m Time Trial, 7th in the Sprints and 8th in the Keirin.

This year, in my second year as a junior, I’m hoping to do better.

On my way to hitting the selection times for the 2024 Junior World Track Cycling Championships I have collected four Australian National titles, two Oceania titles, two Oceania championship records and a NZ 'all-comers' record.

I am super excited to have been selected again to represent Australia, in China in August.

2023 was a huge year for me – getting to represent Australia at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Trinidad and at the Junior Track Cycling Worlds Championships in Colombia, as well as completing my HSC.

This year I am taking a gap year to focus on getting faster!

I will be supported by AusCycling coaches and management but I need to raise approximately $9,000 that will help cover the Australian team levy including travel, accommodation, transport of bikes and equipment, food and competition costs, the funds will also help with ongoing training and equipment costs.

My selection in this team shows that AusCycling has confidence in my abilities to continue on an elite pathway in track cycling and I hope to make the most of this opportunity and show that I have what it takes to continue to represent Australia in this sport that I love.

While I’m away I will be keeping everyone posted with how things are going on Instagram, where you can follow me @l_tatarinoff.

And I expect my parents will be all over social media too. My dad is on Instagram as well @m_rkt_t .

Your support will help me and will be very much appreciated.
