Makayla has qualified to represent QLD at the National Athletic Championships 2025 being held in Perth.

Makayla is a Para Athlete who completes with a lower leg deficiency classified as a T/F44 Athlete. At this year’s championships Makayla is completing in the 100m and Long Jump under 15's events.

Her achievements in the last two years are incredible considering her disability. Mak is the current open age Australian national record holder for 100m and long jump in her classification. She is the reigning 3 time national champion for her age in Long jump and bronze medalist in 100m from the All Schools Championships last year. She holds QLD State titles in both 100m and long jump from both School Sport and Club Championships.

Makayla dedicates a large portion of her life to Athletics and constantly is pushing herself to succeed even when training for her is difficult.
