My name is Matthew Levy I am 28 years of ago I was born premature at 25 weeks with Cerebral Palsy and I am legally blind. I have had approximately 40-50 operations ranging from Heart, Lungs, brain and ear.  

From the very beginning life was a challenge the support of my parents and countless medical professionals I was able to come out the other end strong and motivated to achieve in life. 

I have been swimming since the age of 12 first representing Australia at the age of 13. 
2004 Athens Paralympics finalist in 5 events. 
2008 Bejing Paralmypic games. 1 Gold 4x 100 Medley Relay. 
 2009 World Championships 4 Gold 2 sliver 4 World Records
2010 World Championships 3 Gold 1 Silver 1 bronze 2 World Records
2012 Paralympics London, 1 gold 4x100 Free 1 silver 100 Freestyle S7, 3 Bronze, 200 IM, 100 Breastroke and 4x 100 Medley Relay. 
2013 World Championships, 2 Gold 1 silver 1 bronze 
2014- Awarded Order of Australia Medal for services to swimming (OAM)
Usa Para Pan Pacs Swimming-  7 Gold 
2015- World Championships, 2 Silver, Bronze
2016 Paralmypics Rio, Brazil- 1 Bronze. 

I currently work for Westpac Bank as a Change Analyst.  I have a passion for travelling and experiencing new things.  I have also completed a Bachelor of business (management).

I am fundraising for my training expenses for my 2020 campaign it will help me in reach my goals in 2020 and improving the profile of my sport by allowing me to perform at my best day in day out.
