Since they first met playing u7s in 2018, Kayden and Matthew have been best mates both on and off the pitch. They have played Soccer and Futsal together every year since and have competed in carnivals in Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.

Last year they were selected to play for an U12’s Futsal Team to represent Northern QLD at the 2023 National School Futsal Championships in Brisbane. After this competition, both boys were selected to represent Australia in the U13’s team in the upcoming International Futsal Tournament to be held in Barcelona in June 2024.

This is a fantastic achievement for both boys, giving them an opportunity to play on an international level – a once in a lifetime opportunity they are both so excited to be apart of. It has been a dream of both boys to not only represent their country in football but to also play in Europe.

Kayden and Matty are talented and dedicated soccer players, who also have a love and passion for Futsal. We are so proud of the hard work, commitment and dedication they have shown over the last few years and would love to see them play for their country. Their selection onto the team wouldn’t have been possible without the support and guidance of their coaches and their teammates. To everyone who has played a role in getting Kayden and Matty to this point, we can’t thank you enough.

As you can imagine, representing your country for sport in another part of the world comes at a large cost, including:

-      Travel expenses including Domestic and International Flights, Insurance, Transport within Barcelona

-      Accommodation

-      Competition fees

-      Uniforms
