Hi there!

My name is Maya Stasiuk and I am a 16 year old school girl & competitive Sport Climber from Victoria, Australia. I have been climbing since I was 4 years old and competing since I was 6 years old.

In November 2023, I came 2nd in the Oceanic Continental Championships and was the only Australian female invited to compete in the Olympic Qualifier Series in Budapest and Shanghai. This gives me the opportunity to fulfill a life long dream to participate in the Paris Olympic Games.

I won the Australian Open Female National Championship 2023 (lead/boulder). Because of this, I have also been selected to compete for Australia in the international IFSC World Cups during 2024 - against the worlds best.

These are the events I am competing in, for Australia, during 2024:

• Shanghai 8-10 April (Boulder)

• Wuijiang 12-14 April (Lead)

• Shanghai Olympic QS 16May (lead and boulder)

• Budapest Olympic QS 12 June (lead and boulder)

• Innsbruck 26-30 June (lead and boulder)

• Shanghai Aug World Youth Championships

• Seoul 2-6 Oct (lead and boulder)

I am asking for your support because I am self funded and there is very little financial support available to Sport Climbers in Australia. Funds are needed to help cover the significant costs for travel, training, and accomodation. The approximate costs to be incurred for attending and competing in the World Cups listed above is $30,000.
