The MCC Hockey Section is part of the Melbourne Cricket Club. We are a family-based community club that provide opportunities at junior, senior and masters levels - with teams for all ages and abilities (from 5 years of age through to 65 and beyond).

Over the past 5 years we have witnessed significant growth within the club. On the pitch the club has successfully developed the first stage of a second ground at Elwood College to support the growth of hockey in the local community.

With the assistance of member donations and the Melbourne Cricket Club, and in partnership with Elwood Secondary College, the club has been able to develop a world class hockey pitch to be enjoyed by our community and students. Our new Elwood hockey ground was completed in 2020.

While we have a fantastic new hockey pitch we do still lack facilities to make the ground our second home.

The Club is now ready to embark on Stage 2 of the Elwood development - a new club space and change facilities. The Club’s vision is to develop player and spectator facilities to support hockey in the local area and for all Club members to use. The development would include:

• up to four change rooms (with showers and toilets)
• spectator’s toilets
• a social/meeting space
• kiosk
• storage facilities

The Club has an infrastructure account in place used to save for this development. Funding for this new development will be a combination of Club fund raising, the assistance of the Melbourne Cricket Club, and government grants.

The Club is targeting a fundraising goal of $250,000. To date the Club has already raised $63,000 towards this target.

• Emerald: $7,500
• Gold:  $5,000
• Silver: $2,500
• Bronze $1,000

However no amount is too small, anything you can afford will be appreciated.
