Hi I am Miya Quarrell a dancer from Brisbane, Queensland.
I have recently qualified as part of Team Australia to travel to Prague to compete in the IDO World Tap Championships.
This sees me now travelling to Ashmore each weekend to take part in 3 hours of training for a Solo, Duo and Group routine under the instruction of one of the original Tap Dog members, Ben Mayne.
I am using this type of fundraising because it’s very hard to get any grants or funding because we have learnt that most organisations don’t recognise my sport including the local government.
I am hoping to fundraise to cover some of my travel costs to get to Prague in October.
I would love to see Dance be recognised as a sport and for individuals like myself to be able to attend these fantastic life changing opportunities.
Thank you so much for your support.
