MLC Aquatic is a premier top 2 Victorian swimming club (No 1 for girls) that aims to provide swimming lessons to all community members regardless of their financial position. The Club has achieved success at a district, state, national and international level and have placed athletes on the Junior and Senior Australian team.

With this in mind, the club is raising funds to subsidise lessons for financially disadvantaged individuals, migrants and overseas visitors that have no or little access to learn to swim or pools. Last year we assisted a group of swimmers from Tonga that have no access to pool space and make do learning to swim in boating waterways. We are also raising money to support families to enter competitions and go on team trips so they do not feel excluded.

Our club has great coaches and wish to assist these groups because

• Migrants and overseas visitor groups have usually grown up having never seen large bodies of water and have not had the opportunity to take swimming lessons.
• Financially disadvantaged community members are often unable to afford swimming lessons so these families miss out.
• We wish all our members to feel included in all activities.
