Netball Victoria's Jean Cowan Fund

Netball Victoria's Jean Cowan Fund

The Jean Cowan Fund provides recipients with financial support to assist with the costs associated with participating in netball, including fees for uniforms, equipment, membership and other relevant netball expenses.

This initiative is named after its original benefactor, Jean Cowan, who generously bequeathed funds upon her passing in 2010 for individuals to enable their participation in netball. Jean was heavily involved in netball, playing at the highest level from the 1930s to the 1950s, and later becoming the president of both Netball Victoria and Netball Australia.

Netball Victoria is continuing Jean’s legacy by providing financial assistance to members who require it, including by offering Netball Victoria members the opportunity to make a voluntary contribution to the fund as part of the annual registration process. Through this fund Netball Victoria aims to enable everyone to play our sport no matter their financial situation.

Your donation makes a valuable contribution to Netball Victoria’s commitment to make our game accessible to all Victorians and supports those facing financial hardship to continue participating in our sport.
