Hello, I’m Nikki and I am super excited to share that I’ve been selected to represent Team Australia in Junior All Girl (JAG) and Mega Cheer Golden Girls and Senior Black this year (2025).

This is an amazing opportunity to take the stage at ICU World Cheerleading and Summit competitions in Orlando USA, and I am absolutely honoured to be showcasing not only my skills but also showing the world what cheerleading is all about. It’s an absolute dream come true!

I have been cheerleading since I was 9 years old, and have travelled to Hawaii twice to represent my clubs in Cheerleading and Dance, last year bringing home 3 gold medals!  2024 hasn’t been the kindest, with me completely tearing my meniscus early in the year and missing the beginning of the competition season.  Sitting on the sidelines was hard, but only increased my determination. I made my come back later in the year, attended Nationals without any issues, only to re-tear the same meniscus the following weekend.  My surgeon, the amazing Dr Francois Tudor, worked his magic to ensure I am now fit and ready to go, knowing how much this opportunity and my sport means to me.

Competing at this level is an honour, however, it does come with significant expenses of which there is no funding.  I, myself have been working part time around training and school commitments to assist with self-funding as well as participating in fundraising activities at my cheer club, Mega Cheer, where possible.  Costs associated with this trip include participant and registration fees, uniforms for both Team Australia and Mega Cheer, flights to Orlando, accommodation, as well as domestic flights to attend in person Team Australia training camps prior to departure.
