In April 2025 four young Norfolk Islanders will travel to Melbourne to begin their Norfolk Island Rep Squash journey by attending the popular Australian Junior Squash Open from the 13th - 17th April at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.

Young men Jackson Ellis and James Christian-Bailey will debut at the perfect time in the U11 age group, Ella-Kaye Ellis in the U13 junior ladies while Timi Snell will play in her third Open event, this year moving up in to the U17 ladies.

The Australian Junior Open is a favourite international event for the region's best junior players and caters for young men and women in the U11-U19 age groups to grow and develop as young players and people in our sporting community.

Jackson, Ella-Kay, James and Timi are extremely excited to be travelling to Melbourne to represent the island’s junior players, gain valuable experience, have fun and make new squash friends on and off the court. They are also looking forward to gaining insight into the level of squash and to bring this knowledge home to their fellow players on-island.

Norfolk Island Squash has a proud history with Pacific Games medalists; Pacific Games, Pacific Cup and Commonwealth Games Representation and now juniors who have Darling Downs, Queensland and Australian Schools team representative experience, all important in the future of our sport on Norfolk Island.

By supporting these young dedicated squash players, you will be helping four young members of our sporting community create life-long memories, build an exciting sporting experience and future representing their island home on the world stage…. they have been very dedicated in their training over the past year.

You will also be helping Junior Squash grow and flourish on the island.

Thank you for reading and considering supporting the island’s young sports men and women. 100% of the funds donated will go to the kids attending the event and their equipment.
