The Wyuna Fund has successfully supported RQYS Junior and Youth Sailors to attend events such as: World Laser 4.7 Championship, Optimist Asian Championship, World University Championships, World Teams Racing Championships, and the World Sailing Youth Championship.

RQYS is seeking support in the form of financial contribution and also resource donation, including vessels and sailing equipment. The Wyuna Support Fund has already received donations of a Squadron Laser and Flying 11 which are now used weekly for the development of our youth sailors. The Wyuna Fund is to assist Youth and Junior sailors to compete at National and International level. The fund is named for Olympian John Cuneo's Gold Medal winning Dragon class Yacht. 

Wyuna Sailors epitomize fundamental values of the sport such as good sportsmanship, and they are required to at all times be positive role models both on and off the water. This fund supports consequently supports engagement with the greater sailing community - nationally and internationally - as much as facilitating improved sports performance; as our young sailors represent the Squadron, the Country and the Sport on various stages it is important to take a holistic approach to developing character and substance as well as competitiveness.
