Fundraising Plan for Shanika’s Journey to the ICU World Cheerleading Championships: Supporting Her Sporting Dreams!
Shanika has been selected to represent Australia at the prestigious ICU World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando this April. This is a historic moment, as it marks the first time Australia has sent an Adaptive Abilities Unified Team to the Worlds. Shanika is also making history as the first Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander with Kabuki Syndrome and hearing impairment to compete at this level, following in the footsteps of her grandfather, who was the first Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander to compete at the Olympics.
This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will allow Shanika to showcase her talent, develop her skills, and inspire others on a global stage. We’re calling on our community to rally behind Shanika and help her make this dream a reality!
Shanika’s FIRSTS: A Trailblazer in Australian Sports
Shanika’s journey is one of breaking barriers and achieving remarkable FIRSTS:

Fundraising Goal
Our goal is to raise $15,000 to cover Shanika’s travel, accommodation, competition fees, training camp costs, uniforms, and other related expenses. Every dollar raised will go directly toward supporting Shanika on this incredible journey. Donations are fully tax-deductible, making it even easier to support Shanika’s dream. So far we've raised $12,000. We just have $3,000 to go. That makes it 150 people at $20 each.
