ABOUT ME

I am Stefie Fejes, 20-year-old passionate beach volleyball player. My love for beach volleyball began in 2017 in my hometown of Freshwater, NSW. Since 2020 I have had the honour to represent Australia at both a senior and junior level.

In 2022, I graduated from Mackellar Girls Campus as Vice-Captain. In January of 2023, I moved my life up to Brisbane to be part of the Women's Australian Developing Volleyroos program to train as a full-time athlete. I am currently balancing:

• Training – 2–3 sessions per day, 5–6 days a week
• Studying – pursuing a double degree in Data Science and Creative Industries at QUT
• Running my crochet business – Cheekie

My long-term goal is to win gold at the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games. In the near future, my focus is on achieving a top 5 result at the 2025 Beach Volleyball World Championships in Adelaide.

• 2× U21 Asian Beach Volleyball Champion (2021 & 2023)
• U19 Asian Beach Volleyball Champion (2021)
• Ranked in the national top 10 from age 15 (2019–current)

COMMUNITY & IMPACT

I am incredibly honoured to be part of the AIS Problem Solvers Program, where I have the opportunity to visit local schools, speak with students in Years 4–6, and help inspire the next generation of creative thinkers. As an ambassador, I share lessons from sport, resilience, and teamwork to help students develop their own problem-solving skills. It’s a privilege to give back to the community and encourage young minds to stay curious, confident, and determined.

I’m also proud to be a part of the $1M Challenge, powered by Ampol, through the Aussie Athlete Fund, which helps connect athletes with supporters and sponsorship opportunities. I'm currently partnered with SParms Sun Protection, whose support helps me perform at my best both on and off the sand while staying sun safe!

SUPPORTER IMPACT

The funding from Volleyball Australia and the Australian Institute of Sport is greatly appreciated, however, the financial demands of being a full-time athlete and student are high, and competing overseas limits our ability to earn an income outside the sport.

Hence, sponsorship plays a critical role in helping me achieve my dreams and Olympic aspirations. Whilst juggling being a full-time athlete, full-time student and small handmade business owner, finding a job with flexible hours is quite challenging. Any contribution has a significant impact on not only my career as an athlete but my life outside of sport as well. By providing sponsorship, you can help me dedicate necessary time, resources and energy into my training and studies allowing me to reach my potential.
