My name is Tahnysha and I am 17 years old. I have been training at Australian Shukokai Karate for the past 11 years and am currently a 2nd Dan Shodan (Black Belt). I have been a member of the Victorian State Team for 8 years and the Australian National Squad for 7 years.

I have just returned from Europe where I competed in the Austrian Junior Open, attended the WKF Youth Training Camp, and competed in my first WKF Karate1 Youth League tournament. I was a Bronze medallist in both the Junior Female -53kg and U18 Open Weight division in the Austrian Junior Open and made it through to the round of 32 competitors (out of 83) in the WKF Karate1 Youth League tournament.

I have recently been selected to represent Australia at the Commonwealth Karate Championships in Bangladesh in September, in both the U21 and Senior Divisions. Unfortunately Karate does not receive any funding and all athletes are required to fund themselves for all State, National and International competitions. Therefore, I am trying to fundraise to cover costs of travel accommodation and tournament entry fees which is approximately $5000. I greatly appreciate any assistance you can offer. Thank you.
