Team Australia Challenge 2024 Youth and Women's America's Cup Regattas

Team Australia Challenge is the official national entry in the Youth & Women’s America’s Cup competition, the world’s oldest sporting trophy, one of national significance to Australia. We are fielding both a first-time women’s and youth team next year to compete on the world stage in Barcelona against 12 nations. Australia boasts some of the finest sailors – male and female, on the planet so we are enormously excited about this history making opportunity.

Watch our introduction video and get ready for an incredible time as Australia once again participates in the America's Cup. With national pride soaring due to the immense achievements of Australian women in sports, this major international event will provide a platform for skilled female athletes who, until now, have been excluded from the pinnacle of their sport.

Over 130 talented female and youth (ages 18-25) sailors have applied to join the team. Patrons John Bertrand AO and John Winning chaired the Women's and Youth Panels respectively to select candidates. A Training Camp was conducted in September in Sydney, where the top 28 applicants were evaluated on and off the water. The final squad will be announced shortly.

Team Australia Challenge needs your help to ensure top-notch preparation and experience for these amazing athletes. Help us support their campaign, and let's show the world that Australia has the skills, talent, and passion to win!
