Team Australia Challenge are aiming to deliver an education and training pathway for youth and women sailors which extends beyond the America’s Cup athletes. The aim is to utlise the programs developed for the 2024 Women and Youth America’s Cup campaign to deliver a series of programs that will teach valuable life skills to sailors and non-sailors alike. The plan is to continue this as a legacy piece beyond the 2024 regatta and roll out training camps and conferences to both young and female sailors, so they don’t truncate their careers and aspirations early.

Team Australia Challenge are building out a strong mentoring and pathway program for sailors and breaking down old, entrenched models and patterns that saw our best sailors competing instead of supporting one another. The team will be conducting public speaking engagements to encourage those wanting to continue their sailing journey more seriously and encouraging female and young prospective sailors to take up sailing.

The Team Australia Challenge education program is aiming to create a sustainable legacy in sailing by delivering enhanced and improved education via scholarships, training, and mentorship programs for young and female sailors in life-skills such as; leadership, adaptability, care for the environment, cognitive skills, intuition, problem-solving, teamwork, and risk management through our pathway programs.
