Join the Journey, as Team Simmons Sailing, two brothers from the Bellarine Peninsula compete against the best the world has to offer!

Hi, we are Aidan (15 years) and Callum (13 years) Simmons, Victorian Sailors from the Bellarine community in regional Victoria, Australia. We are passionate about the sport of sailing and are grateful to have already represented Australia at International championships in 2022 including the Optimist World Championships (Aidan ranked 62 in the world), Waszp World Championship (Aidan placed 1st in the world in the 6.9 Sail Division) and the Optimist European Championship (Callum).

We aspire to one day compete in the Olympics, America’s Cup and Sail GP, to become professional sailors, develop other junior sailors though volunteering and coaching programs and to spread the joy of sailing to others. 

Each regatta builds our experience and exposure to progress on our pathway of joining the Victorian Institute of Sport, the Australian Institute of Sport, the Australian Sailing Team and the Australian Sail GP team.

In 2023, Team Simmons Sailing has qualified to compete in:

• the ILCA 4.7 World Championship 2023 (Laser) in Greece in July (4.7 sail Aidan is ranked 1 in Australia); and
• the Optimist World Championship in Spain in June (Callum is ranked 1 in Australia).

All contributions to support of our journey are greatly appreciated, with any donation over $2 through the Australian Sports Foundation being tax deductible.

All money raised will be used for sailing associated costs such as training, specialist coaching, purchase or charter of equipment, regatta fees, uniforms, travel or transport.
