“The Road to Dance Worlds 2024” started officially for Alyssa at tryouts at the end of 2022 with the hope of securing a place on the Worlds Dance team ….. she had already committed to training and competing in the Senior Dance Team with her Club throughout 2022 travelling over 300km twice a week plus extra trainings and competitions in the hope of making the Dance Worlds team that would train throughout 2023 & compete on the world stage in 2024… 

Well it paid off! 💜

2023 meant she doubled up with up to 4 nights of training with some training days being 5hrs long - between the Worlds teams, classes in technique, ballet and again training & competing as part of the Senior Company Dance team this year we also spend a number of hours on the road on top of the hours of training and driving many kms each week.

2024 and the countdown has begun - with training already commencing with 5days of intensive training workshops and an overhaul of the routine she will be competing with to make it Worlds stage ready!

As you can imagine the cost of travel to training each week alone adds up but making the team was only the start, this amazing opportunity to attend the Worlds Dance Championships in the USA will come with significant costs- travel, accommodation, costumes, music licences, competition fees and the cost for myself to be by her side for this momentous occasion and seeing her perform against the world will be incredible 💜

So … the FUN in fundraising begins! 🤪

We will be doing as many fundraising activities as we can throughout this year to get Alyssa to Orlando and help with the costs along the way.

For those that may want to help towards “The Road to Worlds Twenty24” but are unable to take part in our fundraising activities, cake stalls etc or would just like to donate , no matter the size as anything is greatly appreciated , every bit helps getting Alyssa to the Worlds Dance Championships , so I’ve created this fundraising page & hopefully we can hit our goal which will help towards subsidising the associated costs.

This is an opportunity of a life time for Alyssa , to perform against 15 different countries with over 4000 other dancers on a world stage after what started 13 years ago when Alyssa first started dancing at just 3years old with a local dance company in our little town of Collie 💜
