We are seeking urgent funding for the purchase of new state-of-the-art scrum machine for the use of the entire Southern Districts Rugby Community.

SDRC has an existing scrum machine which is very old and has fallen into a state of unusable disrepair. Not only is the machine completely outdated in terms of modern technology, it is unsafe and cannot be used for its intended purposes.

A scrum machine is an essential ingredient in set piece success for any rugby team and set piece is crucial to rugby success. The many teams that will use this facility going forward will be assisted greatly in their endeavours to build success for the district. The importance of a scrum is typified by the recent and rapid rise to the Wallabies in local junior and first grade representative Blake Schoupp.

As the pinnacle rugby body in the region SDRC host:

1. The traditional Shute Shield requirements of 4 x Grade teams and 3 x Colts under 20s teams;
2. The recently formed Jack Scott Cup Women's XV side.
3. Subdistrict Teams such as the Sealice;
4. Southern Districts Juniors;
5. Burraneer Women's Rugby Club; and
6. Southern Districts Local Juniors.

The new scrum machine will be made available to the entire rugby community, and most importantly, the development of our local juniors. SDRC will host scrum clinics to assist coaches and players in the local rugby pathway and community.

Any tax deducible donation big or small will make a significant contribution to this great cause which will benefit the entire rugby community.
