Deadly Cricket
Our community based Deadly Cricket programs allow us to engage Aboriginal youth in both metropolitan and regional areas with an avenue to meet and socialise in a healthy, safe, and active environment.
The program often incorporates traditional Aboriginal games and family participation is encouraged to create community connection and a greater sense of belonging through our fun and adaptable format of cricket.
Aboriginal Leadership Program
We strive to empower the leaders of tomorrow by engaging with metropolitan and regional high schools to develop leadership qualities through the context of cricket, highlighting opportunities available to Aboriginal youth.
We use cricket as the vehicle to support our participants’ personal development through education in resilience, goal setting, public speaking, and leadership as we look to deliver mental health and leadership awareness in a fun, safe, and culturally respectful setting.
Kambarang Cricket Carnival
Kambarang is the Nyoongar word for the seasonal transition between spring and summer, and the Kambarang Cricket Carnival is designed to bring communities together and grow representation for Aboriginal people in local community cricket.
Through cultural learning initiatives, we create positive mental health outcomes by expression of thoughts, build self-awareness, harness positive peer relationships, and see a heightened engagement in activities.
Aboriginal Talent Academy
Our bespoke Aboriginal Talent Academy nurtures the male and female stars of tomorrow, inspiring Aboriginal youth to engage with cricket and recognise it as a potential sporting and career pathway.
Cultural identity sessions build a sense of belonging and improve participants’ long-term connection with the game, and additional resources and experiences are provided to participants who have been identified with potential to fast-track to senior levels of cricket.
