Athlete Fundraising

Helping Australian athletes achieve their sporting dreams.

Athlete Fundraising - #Joinourteam

We are very excited to announce the launch of our new Athlete Fundraising program.

For over 30 years the Australian Sports Foundation has helped sporting clubs and organisations fundraise for sport, but with the launch of our new platform, more individual athletes can now receive tax deductible donations to support their sporting career.

From representing your state right through to representing Australia at World Championships or the Olympics, the Athlete Fundraising program is designed to support athletes competing at any of the State, National and International levels.

Funds raised through our platform can go towards anything that helps you compete, for example:

  • Travel and accommodation expenses
  • Training and coaching costs
  • Sporting apparel
  • Sporting equipment
  • Food and nutrition
  • Medical costs

Click here to access our Athlete Fundraising application form and sign up now!

Once registered with us, you will get your VERY OWN fundraising page that is easily accessible and can be shared online or via social media. Donations received through your fundraising campaign will be granted back to you on a monthly basis, plus you’ll have direct access to our fundraising resources, advice and our online portal where you can manage your page and donations at any time. Athlete Fundraising allows all Australians, both individuals and organisations, to donate to support individual elite athletes, with the added bonus of all donations of $2 or more being tax deductible.

  • At least 1 identification document that contains a photo (eg. Driver’s license, passport)
  • Documentation supporting your representation in your sport at the state level or higher, or your preparation for selection. (eg. Letter of acceptance, A link to a website confirming your pathway or representative selection)
  • At least one image of yourself in sporting uniform or playing sport (landscape works best)
  • Description for your web page, telling us about your sporting career and what you are raising funds for

Individual athletes register online to #joinourteam and, once assessed for eligibility, a fundraising page will be set up for anyone to donate to. Fundraising pages can easily be shared online or via social media, and funds donated will be granted to the athlete on a monthly basis.

Any athlete representing at state level or higher, the Athlete Fundraising program is designed to support athletes competing at any of the State, National and International levels.

Athlete Fundraising registrations will be assessed for eligibility and will then need to supply relevant background information to complete their registration.

Funds raised through our platform can go towards anything that helps the athlete compete, for example:

– Travel and accommodation expenses
– Training and coaching costs
– Sporting apparel
– Sporting equipment
– Food and nutrition
– Medical costs

This means our athletes can focus all of their efforts on their training and preparation, rather than having to worry about financial stresses.

They get to help out an athlete AND get a tax deduction! All donors get to nominate a particular athlete at the time they donate – ie. they are not contributing to other blanket fundraising which may or not go to the athletes themselves.

Complete an initial registration via our link above. Email enquiries to info@asf.org.au  or call 02 6214 7868 for questions.
