About the project

Now, more than ever, we need you.

If you never truly realised how much you love watching your kids play; but you’ve always known how much they love the game. If you never truly realised how much goes on behind the scenes to get the players on the court; but you’ve always known it happens like clockwork every week. If you never truly understood the power of team sport in a crisis; but you know you want to see our stadiums packed again one day soon. Then please join us.

Join us by making a tax deductible donation today to help keep the lights on at Basketball Hawthorn so that when this shutdown ends, and we get the green light to start playing again, we can bounce back as fast as possible.

This is on behalf of my granddaughters who are so passionate about playing. I have loved watching them play and can't wait to see them on court for Magic and Titans again when I am next back to Australia!

  • Enza Xerri

Our club SABC has also donated. May be able to personally donate again moving forward but at this stage will do a once off. Hopefully all members help in some way.

  • Mark and Tracey Emney

Basketball Hawthorn has been a huge part of our lives, and Alaska and Milla's, for the last three years. Watching the girls play basketball has brought us so much joy and we have made some great friends across the BH community. We would be devastated for everyone involved if the club had to close. Besides, what else would we do with our lives on a Friday night....Saturday morning....Saturday afternoon...Sunday morning....Monday evening...Tuesday evening...Wednesday evening...

  • Cheryl Wood

    This too shall pass!!!!!

  • Milla Emney

If Basketball Hawthorn closes by career will be pooffed!

  • Emma Ellis

My son loves playing basketball and we love watching at the weekend. We would be super sad to see Hawthorn Basketball disappear so hopefully this donation helps a little.
