Meet four of our junior players, shown here as examples of our youngsters keen to advance their skills, passion and leadership in baseball!

All are outstanding players, have played at our club for several years, and have been accepted into State Winter Championships, or higher last year (eg Belles Victorian team that competed at National level). Our club’s emphasis on positive culture and skilled coaching (unpaid) is paying off, with about half of our 34 juniors, being of “state championship” level.

Bendigo East Baseball Club keeps junior fees to the absolute minimum to encourage participation by all. The club runs on a shoestring budget with income from events, BBQs, raffles, grants and player fees. This is in stark contrast to the fees that families encounter when their junior wishes to play at championship level, with fees being upward of $3,500 per event (typicially including training/coaching fees, uniform, registration/insurance, travel & accomodation). This campaign seeks to offset these costs to support a number of juniors, from our club, in advancing their development. We plan to keep this campaign active for 5 years.

Funds will be allocated to juniors who show a good level of commitment to the club (eg. volunteer work), a sporting and team orientated attitude.
