The Centenary Rowing Club is a public rowing club located in the suburb of Riverhills (Brisbane), Queensland, Australia. It is the first rowing club to be built on the banks of the Brisbane River in almost 100 years. The Centenary Rowing Club focuses primarily on Youth Rowing, offering our youth rowing program to both public and private school students. The club is a 100% volunteer run club with none of our members being paid for their services to the club. Our rowers train on every weekday afternoon, most weekday mornings and on the weekend. Our well-constructed, active and leisure time activity encourages involvement, enthusiasm, passion and commitment. The very essence of teamwork is encouraged through rowing. CRC is providing an integral service in encouraging activity that addresses many of the emerging social issues of today. School Rowing is offered to all school children (age 12+), regardless of what school they attend or what socioeconomic area they are from. The only criteria is that they wish to learn to row. The School Rowing program teaches rowing in single sculls, double sculls, quads, fours and eights. It offers its own rowing competition, the highlight of which is the Head of the River, held at the end of the rowing season. Adult Rowing is offered on a limited basis to adults who wish to help the Club volunteering in a variety of areas including administration, coaching and session coordinating. It operates on a limited basis as the primary focus of the club is on the Youth Rowing programs within the club.
