Coolum Cricket Club Training Facility Refurbishment

Coolum Cricket Club Training Facility Refurbishment

Raised

$55,080.99

Goal

$250,000.00

During the weather event of February 2022, the Coolum Cricket Clubs nets were inundated with a substantial amount of water.

The power of the water has destroyed the synthetic turf in the nets, which means they are currently inoperable for all levels of community cricket.

Due to the design on the nets the water has also damaged some of the framework, which means there is a need for considerable site works on the training facility; including slab reconstruction, removal of some steel works, re build of steel works, plus a full synthetic resurface to the concrete slab.

We will need to invest money into patch work to utilise them for the coming season to get by, until we have enough to build new nets.

Our intention is to raise $150,000 by June 2023 to repair/upgrade the net facility and then another $100,000 by June 2024 to install a roof to protect the investment & allow the community access in all weather to train and utilise the space. This includes other community user groups not just cricket participants.
