In August 2019, the IFA Men's World Fistball Championships will be held for the 15th time, this time in the heart of European Fistball - in Winterthur, Switzerland. The Fistball Federation of Australia will be sending a national team to these World Championships for the second time in its short history after also competing in the 2015 World Championships in Cordoba, Argentina. It has already been confirmed that this will be the largest international Fistball tournament in history, with 18 nations confirmed to compete against the world's best.
Of course competing for your nation in a World Championships (particularly one held on Switzerland) is an expensive exercise, with costs for international flights, accommodation and team clothing will all need to be covered by the individual players, a cost that can put great strain on their ability to commit to competing. We are asking for help from the Fistball community and beyond in raising funds to offset some of these costs.
Through our fundraising partnership with the Sports Foundation, donations to the team are tax deductible, so please show your support by donating today.
Thank you, and fist on!
