The Flinders Golf Club has been rewarded since the establishment in 1903 by the vision, generosity & much personal time of the originators (Sir James Barrett & David Maxwell ) to allow us to continue the development of our golfing & social enjoyment.

The establishment of a Foundation is another step towards a financially secure club.

With the generosity & vision of the late John Winneke & our Club committee we have a starting balance of $100,000.

Outside of a vote by members only the income from the Foundation may be used for expenditures on club projects.

Our wish is to grow this to a point where the income each year can enhance the growth & development plans of the Club & the enjoyment of members.

To do this we invite members to consider ways in which they can assist, as donations from members will be the principal way to grow the fund.

This can mean a direct gift, payable outright or spread over a couple of years.

Or by way of a bequest in their will.

The Trustees can assist in a confidential discussion to assist with your plans.

Every gift, no matter what size will help to continue the personal enjoyment we all get from the Club.

The Trustees have started to invest the funds in a considered way, with $50,000 of the funds invested equally in one managed Australian growth fund and one global fund.

The balance will be invested progressively as investment markets allow.

We encourage you to talk with the Trustees about plans you may have to assist the build of the Foundation.
