Your donation is supporting Holland Park Hawks Football Club
Visit websiteHolland Park Hawks Football Club is an integral part of the community, offering football at grassroots to semi-professional levels, providing physical, developmental, psychological and social benefits for local children and developing future Socceroos.
The Club is also a vital community space, bringing the community together for events like Small Steps 4 Hannah, which create a healing and educational space for our own and the wider community.
The Club is at capacity, with 900 registered players utilising space adequate for 600 players maximum.
The Club has invested heavily using our own funding and grants to improve our infrastructure and utilise our spaces to the maximum. We have installed new lighting, new grandstands, refurbished our canteen, installed solar panels, and added new fencing to name a few.
We need your support to further upgrade and improve our infrastructure and facilities so that we can increase our capacity to meet the ever-growing demand.
Our plan is to make the best use of the space we have whilst working with our community partners to offer sustainable outcomes for the future. This will be done by:
#1 Formalise Junior Fields
Our junior fields have not been formalised and do not have adequate lighting, fencing or access.
Our goal is to make permanent our junior fields 3,4,5 and extend into our lease to make field 6. Lighting and fencing will be installed on all fields to allow all fields to be used day and night increasing capacity and taking some of the traffic off fields 1 and 2, in turn reducing the Club’s maintenance costs to make the club more sustainable.
Estimated cost: $300,000
#2 Change Room & Multipurpose Room Addition
The change rooms are tired and outdated. They do not meet current standards or expectations.
The Club proposed the addition of new, fit for purpose universal changing room facilities, compliant with Football Queensland facility guidelines. This includes shower cubicles, toilets, and lockable storage.
The Club also proposed the addition of a multipurpose space for meetings and workshops and use by other local community organisations.
Estimated cost: $420,000
#3 Storage & Uniform Shop Addition
The Club does not have adequate storage for equipment and uniforms.
The Club proposes the addition of a fit for purpose, secure storage area including a uniform shop facility with:
- easy to access and secure storage unit for goals, balls, bibs and other football equipment; and
- easy to access, open to members and secure uniform shop and kit storage area.
Estimated cost: $120,000
#4 Clubhouse Upgrade
The Clubhouse is tires and does not meet the Club’s needs.
The Club proposes that the Clubhouse be re-designed, improved and made fit for purpose to include:
- Physio Room (for hire)
- Gym & Rehab space
- Modernised showers
- Lockable storage
- Larger office space
- Better layout of canteen area
Estimated cost: $100,000
The Club has sought grants of $400,000 to assist with the costs of undertaking the above works, however most grants require that the Club contribute towards any works. The Club is seeking donations of approximately $100,000 to assist with the cost of these projects. So join us now in supporting our club and leave a permanent and visible legacy for our current and future footballing families.
