The JB Sharp Memorial Regatta Series is a rowing series designed for novice and beginner members. We are committed to growing rowing. 

The J.B. Sharp regatta series is conducted during the winter months and although originally only open to the “bay clubs” from within Iron Cove, is now open to all clubs (schools may compete but are not eligible to score series points). It retains its original objective of measuring the all round rowing strength of the clubs – no premium is placed on senior rowing nor on the comparative numerical strength of each club.

The Project is to fund our centenary regatta series and special events for the centenary in 2024, which will include events for our new and existing participants, scholarships for promising junior and beginner athletes, and trophies and medallions for our regattas.

We are committed to ensuring that there are no regatta entry fees for competitors, to ensure equality of access to the sport, and that the series can continue to support beginners and young people who wish to compete in the series and continue their involvement with the sport by fundraising for scholarships for under 16 and beginner rowers.
