This fundraising project is to upgrade our tennis court lighting to LED technology on Courts 1-4. The existing metal halide lighting has degraded over time and is proving problematic as globe failures are occurring more frequently. The cost of replacement halide globes is expensive, the clubs Origin electricity bill rates are high and our courts are poorly lit due to lights being constantly needing replacements. The LED lighting will provide vastly improved court illumination and also alleviate potential OH&S risk. This will improve the quality of our night tennis programs, coaching, competition and book a court hire. We believe this upgrade will improve continued participation for all our members and provide significant financial savings for the club to spend on other valuable programs.
