Lauriston Girls’ School: 50 years of Rowing

Rowing continues to be an important part in the history of sport at Lauriston.

Our current rowing club has approximately 100 students in our senior school. We are a strong rowing club with a strong ethos of working together to achieve positive outcomes whenever we race and when we interact with each other and the broader community.

With the wonderful support of our Lauriston Rowing Association we strive to achieve a rowing community where our students learn life lessons and establish lifelong friendships.

We have clear goals for the future of our rowing club and we strive to provide the best resources for our rowers that will help them compete successfully whenever they are on the water.

An important goal for our rowing club is to build our capacity through the purchase of a new eight. A new boat will support our students to be competitive and give their best in every race.

The School currently supports the capital investment for our fleet of boats and we appreciate all donations to supplement this program.

We encourage our past and present supporters to consider making a donation as your support will not only help to purchase of a new eight it will also ensure that current and future Lauriston rowers can experience the unique personal growth, development and team work that comes through involvement with a successful rowing program
