Loreto College Marryatville

Loreto Marryatville Rowing Fund

About

Rowing at Loreto College in Adelaide is a relatively new sport, the 2015/2016 season is only the sixth season that the Club has been competing. It now boasts over seventy rowers and is already challenging a number of the traditional South Australian girls rowing schools.

The club has up until now leased boats, a strategy that has served it well especially in the initial years where boat purchases were out of the question. The drawback of this has been trying to lease suitable boats, as it is disappointing when the girls are let down by their equipment.

We have a very strong parent body that constantly fundraises and this season we have been able to purchase our first two boats. Our aim is to ultimately own our own ‘state of the art’ fleet. We know this challenge will cost approximately $250,000 but if the girls are willing to be at school at 5.00am in the morning to go to training then the least we can do is provide them with the best equipment possible.

Please make a tax deductible donation today and help us achieve this goal to support our girls!
