In August this year Daniel began his quest to qualify for the Olympics. As a member of the Australian Men’s Sabre Fencing Team he has three international bronze medals from the Commonwealth Fencing Championships in London to build on. Qualifying for the Olympics is a long process and requires participating in and doing well in national and international competitions. Fencing is a self-funded sport and Daniel has been so grateful being backed by so many generous people near and far but does need a little more help. All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.

Daniel started fencing at school for his Friday sport at a NSW public primary school. It was at the suggestion of his Year 5 classroom teacher. He loved it. Three days later he was at his first session of his eight-week beginner course with the Marrickville Marauders Fencing Club. Competitions started for Daniel later that same year and haven't stopped. Daniel is an active Club member. He fences for his Club, his school, the State of NSW and Australia.
