Visit websiteYarrabah is 52kms from Cairns and there are no cricket facilities in Yarrabah for junior cricket games. This means the team needs to travel to Cairns each week to participate. For the last2 years working with local police officer Andrew Guest and the PCYC there is one junior side up and running.
There has been considerable improvement in the players and 3 of the girls from team made Far North U13 representative side last year. The players families are not in a position to pay players costs. Funds raised will assist to send club coaches to Yarrabah from May to run introductory programs and closer to season to run coaching for the team. Funds will also be used to purchase equipment and attend coaching programs in Cairns.
