Veterans Cricket NSW and Veterans Cricket Victoria are staging a couple of games between two Aboriginal Over 50's sides on the sacred ground of Johnny Mullagh Oval in Harrow on the weekend of April 13 and 14, 2024.

Besides the cricket, we seek to immerse ourselves culturally as well, visit sacred sites, the cultural centre and meet with members of Wotjobalak clan and the Gundijmara clan, of which one of our NSW players belongs to. We have gained permission to use these lands not only to further skillful Aboriginals in sport, but also play homage to such a special sporting moment in history, that of Johnny Mullagh and the famous 1868 tour. We also plan to have a dinner on the Saturday night, with Australian artist, Matt Scullion, the composer of the 1868 song that portrays what a special tour it was.
