Petanque Federation Australia is recognised by the FIPJP as the national representative of the Sport of Petanque in Australia, our role is to promote the development of Petanque nationally. PFA was formed in the 1980's, with 3 affiliated clubs in Victoria we now have 50 affiliated clubs throughout Australia with over 1500 licensed players. We provide advice and assistance to new and established clubs, advising on equipment and terrains, provide supporting documentation for grant applications, assisting clubs in the training and the development of new and existing coaches. We also assist with umpire training and examinations, access to the rules of the game and updates on rule changes. We organise all National Championship events and International Competitions in Australia. We provide support for Australian Teams at international competitions, in the form of management, coaches, supply of uniforms and financial assistance where appropriate. Our vision is grow the sport to include 100 clubs and 3000 players by 2025. At the same time, developing our best players, through coaching programmes and exposure to international events. To ensure Australia can have a competitive team at the 2024 Olympics. Support of Donors and Fundraising is an essential part of PFA achieving this vision.
