The School is looking to improve its Glenn Centre sporting facilities and is seeking your support to make these important upgrades happen:
1. New High-Performance Gym: Much-needed improvements to the strength and conditioning facilities for students will be provided by significantly expanding and refitting the existing gymnasium. The new facility will be three times in size and will be fitted out with state-of-the-art strength and conditioning equipment, and is planned to be ready for use in term three of 2024. The planned upgraded high-performance gym will be staffed by qualified high-performance experts, ensuring that appropriate supervision and direction will be provided for boys using the facility.
2. New Gymnastics Equipment: The Gymnastics equipment in the lower gymnasium – which is used extensively through our PE and our weekly sporting programs - requires replacement and upgrading.
3. New Diving Boards: The diving boards in the McFarland Swimming Pool – which are used extensively through our PE and our weekly sporting programs - require replacement and upgrading.
We are looking to our community to raise the $350,000 required to complete the upgrades outlined above by the end of this year, through tax deductible donations via the Australian Sports Foundation. The school is funding the costs associated with the expansion of the existing high-performance space and any installation costs associated with the new equipment, as well as requisite additional staffing costs.
Your support of this important project will be greatly appreciated by Scotch Senior School boys as they look to elevate their performances on the field, on the beam and rings and in the diving pool from 2024 onwards.
