Elevating the Comets Stadium Experience

Comets Stadium is undergoing a remarkable transformation with the renovation of the front façade, including an accessible chairlift, refurbished referee, and supervisors’ rooms as well as the refurbishment of the female toilets and changerooms. These enhancements are designed to uplift not only the facilities themselves but also the entire basketball community that calls the stadium home.

Unfortunately, due to the inflation and rising building costs, the Comets are experiencing a shortfall in funds, which regrettably results in the male toilets and changerooms refurbishment being unfunded.

A grant from the Office of Sport has allowed the Association to pay for the work on the female amenities, for which the Comets are very grateful. However, as the Comets have over 3500 male members, the male facilities upgrade is essential.

With the renovation, we aim to create a space that fosters team spirit and camaraderie. The upgraded male toilets and changerooms will offer modern amenities, ample storage, and accessible toilets. By prioritizing the needs of our athletes, we are setting the stage for enhanced performance and confidence both on and off the court.
