Welcome to the Sydney Scooter Club (SSC), an inspiring new chapter in the movement of freestyle scooter clubs in Australia. As a club, our mission transcends beyond merely teaching scooter skills; we aim to build a supportive, inclusive community where every young rider, irrespective of their background, feels welcomed and valued. Our focus is not just on nurturing individual talents but also on fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among our members whether at beginner or athlete levels. Our VisionIn a world where the cost of sports can be a barrier, SSC stands out by offering a low-cost entry point into the dynamic world of freestyle scooting. Our goal is to keep membership fees minimal, ensuring that no aspiring rider is left behind due to financial constraints. This approach is fundamental to our vision of growing the sport for boys and girls while enriching our community with diverse talents and perspectives. Our FundraisingOur ambitious fundraising target of $25,000 is not just a number – it represents a multitude of opportunities and experiences for our riders. These funds will facilitate a range of activities including events, introductory ride days, community BBQs, and much-needed support for our exceptional riders competing at various levels. We&#39;re dedicated to providing platforms for our athletes to shine, from local competitions to the prestigious World Skate’s Action Sport World Championships in Rome. At SSC, we recognise that many of our riders come from challenging backgrounds. Scooting for them is not just a hobby; it&#39;s a lifeline, an escape, and a way to find their tribe. Our club offers these young individuals a chance to engage in a sport that values individuality and personal growth, contrasting the dynamics of traditional team sports. By focusing on building mate-ship and a supportive environment, we ensure that every rider not only excels in the sport but also grows as a confident, empowered individual. Our organisation is built on the pillars of governance, integrity, and fair play. We are more than a sports club; we are a community deeply invested in the holistic development of our members. We pay special attention to welcoming new riders, especially those who haven’t found their niche in conventional team sports.
