"When we started the bike program at Theodore Primary, one of the biggest benefits we noticed in the students was an increase in students’ wellbeing. For some students participating in our school bike program was the first time they were able to ride a bike. As these students started to learn this new skill, we saw a rise in independence and confidence, and this transferred from bike riding into the classroom, where we saw students having a go at new tasks and activities in different areas. Our school bike club also provides an opportunity for students to connect and socialise with each other, problem solve and develop their social skills."
