Bare Creek Bike Park is now in its third year. The volunteer crew has been putting in hard work to keep the trails running, including the recent re-surfacing of Bin Chicken. Thanks to Council's assistance with carpet, most of the park is in a solid and sustainable state. However, there's more to do, and that goes beyond what that volunteer trail crew will be able to fund themselves. After having no luck with various grant programs, we're reaching out to the community to help make things happen.

The big goal is to repair and modify the lower park pro-line zone, so that riders can finally complete full top-to-bottom laps of the park. This hasn't been possible since the park opened, for a range of reasons (including numerous huge rain events after the trails were built). Now that the subsurface has had ample time to settle, and with everything we've learned over the past years, it's time to get to work down there.

Ultimately, we're aiming for with a trail where anyone comfortable with Zapper laps will be able to keep on rolling through to the very bottom of the park, with more air miles and smiles.

Getting the job done is going to require significant machine works to repair subsidence in the trail corridors, re-align the entrance, and tune the features for flow. To achieve this, Trail Care has organised to have a machine on-site on a semi-permanent basis, so that works can progress over time (as weather and dirt conditions allow). There's also going to be a need to install some pre-fabricated features to make everything work safely.
