Underwater rugby (UWR) is a fast-paced, three-dimensional, full-contact sport, played in a pool up to 5 metres deep. Players wear a mask, snorkel, and fins, and hold their breath to tackle underwater. The ball can be passed in any direction - up, down, left, right, forwards, backwards - as long as it remains under the water. To score, players must battle past the defenders and pry the goalie away from the basket to deposit the ball in the bottom. This unique sport demands strength, strategy, and a remarkable level of teamwork.
